Our dear classmate from the south Dr. Brenda Demerre-Lopez visited us here in Manila. She planned to stay a few days but the unpredictable skies somehow advised her to extend a few more days.
Last Monday (August 6, 2007), the courageous Core Group Lillian, Carmen Purita with guest Brenda braved the weather and went to Sonya’s Garden in Tagaytay. On our way back, we dropped by the Adventist University of the Philippines in Silang, Cavite. This is a very nice campus, with big trees and a community in itself, reminiscent of the good ol’ UP days. We visited the friend and soon to be boss of Dra. Brenda Lopez. Now retired from the government, she plans to be part of the post graduate academic panel of the University.
Tuesday (August 7, 2007) – it’s now time for the other brave girls to lamierda about in the rain. Guess where they went… the Manila Seedling Bank, to watch plants, greens and blooms and maybe buy some to satisfy themselves. They are June, Delai, Lillian and of course Brenda, our horticulturist-doctor.
